My school has two very unique populations. We have the gifted kids that are bused from everywhere within the district and tend to be more affluent to the at-risk kids who come from poorer households. Some of my kids only eat at school with the free meals provided, in fact we have a homeless shelter that attends are school. Both of these populations need to be engaged and challenged inside of the classroom. They both have very specific needs that are a challenge to meet.
