Mrs. Larson's classroom encourages emotional well-being to create an atmosphere for both learning and emotional development. Mrs. Larson has 16 incredible first graders in her classroom this year. By working in a Title 1 school, many of her students come from low-income backgrounds. The physical layout of Mrs. Larson's classroom plays an important role in the ownership students feel about their learning environment. Mrs. Larson's classroom environment fosters cooperation and acceptance. Flexible seating will allow Mrs. Larson to give up the power of the seating chart and truly hand over the responsibility of seating choices to her students.
