Thank you for considering donating to my project! I am a Dyslexia teacher at a Title 1 campus, with wonderful, hardworking middle school students. My building is historic which comes a with a unique set of challenges. My classroom this year smells SO strongly of mold and the humidity level and heat/temperature level is quite high.
I want to provide the cleanest, most comfortable learning environment for my students as it will lead to higher achievement. To remedy the issue on my own, I purchased new shades, an air purifier, an essential oil diffuser, cleaned extensively, and reached out for mold testing, sealing the windows again, and servicing my hvac.
I've learned this week that one air purifier is not enough for my space and it prompted me to request a second one. I have an allergy to mold and I know that I have students with similar environmental allergies as Texas is a hot spot for both heat and allergens.
Please help remedy my HOT and SMELLY classroom as my students and I would be incredibly grateful!
