I have the privilege of working with 15 Pre-K children from low-income homes. I work with both typically developing four year- olds, as well as children with developmental delays. For many of the children, this is their first school experience. My assistant and I are facilitators of our classroom and plan the environment for active hands-on learning. Very little paper/pencil tasks are completed, and in order to preserve their daily master pieces we are busy taking pictures.
Our school is a Title I school serving 583 students. Many of the children are on free or reduced lunch.
