Many of our students come from low socioeconomic households where many of their extracurricular experiences are limited. The majority of our rising fifth graders are below grade level in reading and math; many students are still struggling to learn the basics of elementary academics. There tends to be a pattern with the students who are behind or below grade level where they eventually give up and lose interest in learning. Despite their challenges, the students at our school are creative, energetic, and a joy to teach. We hope to provide all of our students with as many educational and motivational opportunities to help them grow into more knowledgeable and respectful citizens. These kids are our future; if we are not able to support them now and help them see the potential for their greatest selves, we just may be filled with regret later. Please help us give our students all the chances they deserve!!
