I teach preschool in a diverse inner-city school with four and five year old students that come from a low socially economic backgrounds. My students are children with the highest risk of retention in kindergarten. Many of my students speak Spanish and are bilingual or English as a second language children. Many of my students come from single parent or teenage parent homes with parents that do not have an high school education.
