These three iPads will make a huge impact on my students' academic learning as well as help catapult them into a leveled playing field of their peers. The ability to have this advantage in the classroom also better prepares the children for life outside of the school setting, where everything is becoming technology based at a rapid pace.
In today's classroom, technology is a pivotal learning tool, that unfortunately in my class, many students do not have access to. With the use of these tablets, my students can increase their reading fluency, reading comprehension, and math facts (to just name a few) in a interactive environment at an increased pace. In a classroom where currently technology is only integrated for 45 minutes a week, the learning jump will be greatly significant. This will allow more of the first graders to become advanced in their studies, which will prepare them for the second grade as well as the years beyond elementary school.
