Students are always inquiring about current events taking place in the world around them. So, why not learn about these events both current and sometimes historical through a news magazine specifically designed for kids?
These weekly magazines will help to provide my students with the enrichment that they need. Scholastic News expands beyond the Core Curriculum of the classroom and serves to provide students with additional knowledge that is interesting and relevant in the world around them.
Non-fiction reading is often times very hard for students to become engaged in and/or they have trouble with the complexity of the text. With Scholastic News, interactive videos, games and questions are provided to the teacher as a part of the resource to aid student comprehension. I have used Scholastic News within my classroom in past years, and each time a new issue is brought out it is met with anticipation and smiles from all students!
