By donating to our Book Buddy Project, my students will be able to take a book home to read as often as they like. They will be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to improve their reading ability is to read more, and with these books being easily accessible in the classroom, I believe my students will feel more empowered to freely read. Instead of withdrawing from reading, my struggling students will become stronger readers and in turn become self motivated to read and excited about literature.
My students are already eager to learn and have a high interest in reading, and this project will help enrich their learning and reading ability and build confidence. Imagine falling asleep with a good book in your bed and running to school to tell the teacher and whole class all about it! How much fun would that be!
