I would like to offer flexible seating options for my students within my classroom. Many students have difficulties sitting still and become fidgety and unable to concentrate the longer they are expected to stay in one place.
Providing students a choice with flexible seating options like floor rockers and cushions allows them to take ownership in their comfort and learning at the same time.
Students can also easily break into small groups or partner work with easy to move, flexible seating which allows for more active student engagement and cooperative learning.
Being uncomfortable is one distraction I would like to be nonexistent within my classroom!
