Please help me give my students access to personal headphones for school and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students in my Business Technology program were sharing headphones for online lessons in class. If we are able to return to the classroom setting, the thought now is to have headphones for each student especially since we are talking about keeping things clean and having less contact. Headphones are a more personal item with them being on ears, and near the face. There's a higher chance of potential contact spread. It would be beneficial if each student was assigned a pair of headphones rather than have them shared.
We are an inner city school and many of my students would not be able to afford to purchase their own headphones. Headphones would be a vital asset for remote learning. It seems likely that the at home/online learning may continue into next year. Many families have multiple siblings all trying to do school work at the same time and in the same room. Being able to provide my students with their own headphones would allow students to wear headphones for video lessons without disturbing the family.
