鈥淭he Toy Children Add to Rather than Outgrow,鈥 a slogan by LEGO that clearly defines how our Legendary LEGO Wall will help students be prepared for the 21st century. In the 21st century world, students need to be creative, innovative, collaborative, communicate and critically think in order to succeed in society. Students can use Legos to expand on concepts learned in all subjects, but especially math and the visual arts, that span across subjects and across grade levels. One way the Lego Wall will help students is in the area of math. Students can use the Legos as manipulatives with math lessons to perfect their geometric and algebraic thinking. What better way than to play and learn at the same time! Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to one day attain a college degree or a degree in Career and Technical Education. We hope that by including a Legendary LEGO wall in our MakerSpace area, it will allow students to one day be future entrepreneurs, business leaders, teachers, doctors, and artists by sharpening their visual-spatial and mathematical-logical abilities. We believe that all children can learn and our ultimate goal is for our students to live well and become productive citizens in society. We hope that through Donors Choose, we will have the opportunity to build something unique and special for our students to experience. As another slogan Lego proclaims, 鈥淥nly the best is good enough,鈥 is what we want and expect of our students, thank you for your donation and consideration in funding our project!
