The goal is to help beginning learners understand personal finance. It is important for young children to begin to understand the value of money. I use Class Dojo for classroom management. The students will make piggy banks and I will reward them with money equal to the amount of Dojo points they earned each month (average 50 cents a month). I will then ask the families to match the coins they earn from me. We will keep track of their earnings and then at the end of the year go to the local bank and open saving accounts with their money.
I will use the supplies to teach money through place value, learning the number 1-120 and for our classroom theme.
