Creating a sensory space for our students will stimulate their senses. The sensory space will help our students develop the ability to use their senses and learn to regulate their emotions.
These materials will make a difference in our students' learning by helping to create an environment that supports their need for sensory input. The sensory crash pad will allow students to have a safe place to jump, calm aggression, create body awareness, and provide deep pressure support. The bubble tube promotes visual stimulation and encourages touch while the ocean projector and fiber optic lamp provides calming and relaxation effects. The water beads and fidget toys will help our students build fine motor skills as well as enhance concentration. The peanut ball will help our students develop gross motor coordination. These sensory items will provide a variety of sensory integration in our classroom.
