All of our students would like to experience high school cheerleading. The mats will allow the students to practice freely and safely as they are exposed to cheerleading with the goal of being well-rounded individuals. Cheerleading has helped our students to improve their grades, develop leadership skills, teamwork, be positive mentors, manage their time effectively and develop positive social relationships. It has also proved to be a source of motivation for our students. Each day they work diligently to succeed both at practice and in the classroom. It gives them a sense of purpose and to keep out of trouble. They have something else to look forward to each day after school.
It has helped our students to develop a sense of pride and commitment inside and outside the classroom.
I have been able to see the individual growth as they have become increasingly more responsible students, which is a catalyst for their focus inside and outside of the classroom. Cheerleading has also helped them to develop a strong sense of community.
