First grade is THE BEST grade there is! I get to watch students blossom into readers and mathematicians. I also get to see students make their first connections about what we just learned to something they have seen or experienced.
In my classroom I encourage mistakes, I encourage being curious and asking questions, I encourage everyone to take responsibility for their learning, and I encourage learning with the heart.
