My classroom is a GSRP Pre-K classroom of four year old boys and girls. Eleven of my students are boys and eight are girls. Fifteen of my students are English Language Learners and their first language is Spanish. Seventeen of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes in the inner city of the largest urban school district in the state.
My students come from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods where access to good, nutritious foods is often difficult for many reasons including access, income and education
