The use of flexible seating could make a difference in how and what my students learn. Children learn in different ways some learn by doing, some learn by listening and some learn by moving. For this reason I want to give my students every opportunity to make decisions on how and where they learn. The Jaxx indoor/outdoor ottomans will be helpful in my quiet area and in place of a chair. They will allow the student to wiggle and move around without tipping a chair or disturbing others. Taking charge of their own learning and realizing how they learn best will benefit my students for their entire educational career. As a teacher I know children do not learn by sitting in a chair for extended periods of time. They require options and opportunities to choose where to sit and learn best. By choosing to use a Chair Ball or a Neorok Stool students are using choice to direct their learning and success.
