Our school is nestled in the serene northwest of our city; what used to be the edge of town. Every day is an adventure in my classroom! My students are curious, inquisitive, and love a good challenge. They look forward to sharing their experiences and bonding with me through various avenues. They are loving and eager to learn.
We are a Equity Focus School. One year we will be a Title 1 school and the next year we will find we are not a Title 1 school.
Our students come from an array of circumstances including Section 8 housing and foster homes. Many are new to the country and come from low to middle-income households. We are 100% free breakfast and lunch campus. We are a highly transient community.
My students do not use their varying circumstances as a hindrance. They have learned to adapt and overcome to be successful.
