I work as a science teacher at a socioeconomic-disadvantaged school in an urban neighborhood in Northern California. I teach more than 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Our school is filled with students who are very eager and excited to learn despite their lack of resources and state funding. My students want an opportunity to use new scientific gadgets and technology, however due to limited resources they have not been given the chance to explore the world of science and technology. It is my goal to get my students excited about science and technology by bringing new and interesting projects and manipulatives into the classroom.
