COVID-19 has kept us away from our classroom and hands-on learning experiences for way too long. The first graders are ready to learn and will be happy to be back on campus. However, COVID-19 changed the way students use materials in class. In order to keep them safe from cross-contamination, the students will need their own supplies and often there aren't enough for each. The magnetic tiles and bristle interlocking tiles allow children to play and learn while problem solving creatively. They are great tools for STEM projects.
Individual supplies are needed to keep students safe while doing hands-on experiences that promote mathematical, engineering, and critical thinking. Furthermore, being away from the classroom for so long did not allow the first graders to do many arts and crafts activities that are a great incentive to come to school. Who doesn't look forward to working with clay and making sock puppets to bring stories to life? Help me to keep my students safe and excited to learn with these materials along with the individual magnetic tile and bristle block sets.
