My students work on various literacy skills in my reading intervention classroom. Most of them are in kindergarten, first, and second grade, and need support beyond the general education setting to achieve. I use a multitude of instructional materials to engage them and to teach them in the way that they learn best. I love seeing them light up when they understand a new concept and can apply new skills independently.
Students enjoy coming to my room and get excited about checking out books from my classroom library. They feel secure in knowing that they will be working with kids with similar challenges and skill levels. I strive to make my classroom as inviting and student-centered as possible.
Your donations will help fund materials for very deserving students who live in rural poverty. Simple additions to the classroom can make a big difference in children's learning and ultimately their lives.
