I am an 8th grade Language Arts teacher at a title I school. My job is to have my students become masters at reading AND writing in one school year. My students are stressed, defeated, and so badly want to pass their state tests. I want to create an environment that reading and writing are more than state tests, but tools they can use and enjoy throughout their lives.
