Our class is part of Parkmont Elementary School, which is a California Distinguished School. We are located in Fremont, close to Silicon Valley. Our students are from diverse backgrounds, entailing Asian, Caucasian, and Latino students as our largest groups. Roughly 20 percent of our population consists of students who are English Learners.
Our classroom is shared by two classes. One is a Transitional Kindergarten group, taught by Mrs. Phillips, and one is a Kindergarten group, taught by me. Each group entails 24 curious, excited, energetic students.
We teach in two sessions, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon, with each teacher supporting the other when their class is not in session.
We deeply care about both classes, and we are lucky to be supported by dedicated parents who are willing to always go the extra mile when it comes to ensuring the success of the children we all share.
