My classroom is always in need of new books and comprehension resources. These materials will give my students what they need to get started and will ensure that no students are sharing supplies, making our classroom a safe and inclusive environment for learning.
My students also love to read! Since this is my first year in 4th grade I do not have many books that are relevant and engaging to my students. Having new chapter books gives them the opportunity to pick from a variety and at the appropriate reading level. These books can be used throughout the day during independent reading, small group reading, and when students finish early with classwork (RL.4.1-RL.4.9).
As a teacher, it is important to me that my students are prepared for this school year. I understand that many students and their families have had to face financial hardships and changes due to the impact of COVID-19. I want to help my families of my students by making sure their child has the proper resources needed for the rest of this school year.
