My 400 wonderful young artists are working on breaking out of their artistic shells in the Arkansas region of the Mississippi Delta. They come from low-income families (all students receive free lunch) and learn in a Title I school, but that has certainly not slowed down their creativity. Art gives them the opportunity to express some of their stresses or celebrations that otherwise may go unacknowledged.
