I teach STEAM to every 3rd-8th grader at The Sanibel School. My class is very kinetic and very hands-on. Rarely will you find everyone in the class working on the same thing. I try to make tools and technology available to students and let them find the areas that interest them them most. Sometimes, I like to say 'the project finds the student'.
We are currently learning CAD/CAM skills on 3D printers, a Cricut cutting machine and a robotic arm/laser engraver. Students will soon begin using these machines in creative ways, putting the A in STEAM.
