I have the privilege to teach special education at a dual immersion school in Palmdale, California. At Dos Caminos Elementary Dual Immersion all students have the opportunity to learn two languages. My students are excited about being bilingual learners. My students are enthusiastic, curious, and energetic. They are preparing themselves to one day be global leaders. My students understand that they may have more challenges in learning. They also understand that they can overcome some of these challenges through finding different ways of accessing learning. In my classroom, I provide real life experiences for learning. I create a safe comfortable environment. My students feel empowered to learn. The materials for this project will provide many opportunities for my students to be successful and prepare themselves for their future!
