My classroom consists of 12 students who require a smaller more individualized learning experience in order to be academically successful. My students have a variety of diverse learning needs who hold IEP鈥檚, 504鈥檚 and usually are students that are English Language Learners. By creating center based learning and STEAM activities I can incorporate a more hands on approach to learning that accommodates all sensory needs. I strive to make learning engaging and enjoyable. While my students with Autisim sometimes require more routine and structure they benefit from independent tasks that they can complete themselves. My students with speech and language disabilities really strive for learning opportunities where they feel confident to communicate. Where my students see the most success is when they are creating, using their imaginations and have the freedom to be who they are. These materials will help foster their needs.
