My students come from all types of backgrounds. A lot of them from low income families. Some of my students have told me they do not own any books at home. They use my classroom library to take books home. I wish I could afford to give all my students their own books but I can't so I'm trying to fill my library with as many interesting and diverse readings as I can. Any time I bring in new books there are so many students excited to see what's new!
