Support Ms. Sanson's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
This project is very special to our students because it will serve two purposes! Our vision includes organizing one empty room into both a library and a cozy calming corner in order for our students to take a break and practice regulating their emotions.
In the library, students can have a quiet area to strengthen their academic skills, work on special projects or choose a book to read. The book shelves will be utilized to display books that will be sorted by reading level and subject. Students will be able to browse books and borrow an item of their choosing. The rug will provide a calming space for our students to sit and read their book.
In the cozy calming corner students can take a break, practice their breathing before getting back on track and returning to the classroom. The bean bags will be used for students to sit down and relax. The bins will be used to store various sensory items such as bubbles, Play-Doh, pop its and books that the students can use when they need a break!
