Students with special needs will learn how to prepare light meals and the proper way to preserve and store food through refrigeration and freezing items. Items will be sold to staff members which will enable students to also learn the basics of managing money. Students will be responsible for preparing menus, preparing items to be cooked, as well as selling items.
These skills will be valuable for students, at home, and on worksites in the future, as they will be practicing and preparing soft skills necessary to prepare, cook, clean and manage money, both from purchasing supplies and money earned from sales.
