Something that I find is that when students make a math mistake using the expos, it's more satisfying to erase a mistake written with expo than a pencil. They are more likely to jump right back in to the learning and tackle the problem more readily.
Students are willing to take more risks. You can't break math.
Yes, we still need pencils. I've requested those too, but expos are more forgiving. Whether we're writing on our desks, the Chromebook screens, wipe-away boards, or clear pocket sleeves, we're getting the job done.
