The grips of poverty have crept into the lives of students and teachers across the Appalachian region. This leaves first-generation, first-year teachers such as myself in a nerve-wracking scramble to provide the greatest education possible for our kids. With these materials, pencils, paper, TPT resources, etc, I will be able to not only provide a remarkable educational experience for children who have yet to be exposed to such, but I will be able to create an environment that reaches my students' hearts and makes them feel a sense of belonging. So many of our little mountain warriors do not have that. To combat failing home lives, insufficient resources, and lack of awareness, the materials I have requested will be used to the fullest capacity. I, myself struggle financially but have always had the heart to want to help. Most of my wishes are beyond my means at this moment, but what I cannot do with finance, I hope to do in dedication and love. Please consider contributing to my missing puzzle piece, classroom resources, in an effort to direct my students down a path with brighter outcomes.
