The document camera I am requesting will help me record lessons to post to Google classroom. This will help my students who are on distance learning due to Covid-19 related illnesses. My students will be able to see and hear my lessons. This tool will allow me to fill any gaps that have increased due to Covid-19. Dry erase markers will be used primarily for our daily math timed tests. Retaining math facts has been a struggle, so this practice is very important. The dry erase boards will be utilized for various math and language arts lessons.
Novel studies allow students to focus and practice a variety of reading skills all at once. Students are able to escape their sometimes scary world and disappear into their imaginations. We will be using the class set of Flora and Ulysses as a novel study. While enjoying this fictional book, students will read for stamina while discussing author's purpose, context clues, story elements, and figurative language.
