I feel as though many students have been spending too much time on devices; therefore, they are losing their creative edge which allows them to think outside of the box. Students are not being provided with these experiences in their homes, so I feel like the items I have added to my list will help them in a variety of ways. We love to do STEM challenges in the classroom, and the magnatiles, STEM building toys and other items will provide opportunities for teamwork, communication, and creativity.
Students need to be provided with the opportunity to learn, create, and explore. The items in my project will help them build confidence, and give them the opportunity to grow as students and individuals. I also listed some flexible seating. My students love the opportunity to move about the room and sit in different spaces. I know they will love the chairs. I even included some basic classroom supplies and needs that I would normally spend my own money on for my students. This will allow me to purchase other rewards/incentives for my students.
