The students right now are unable to use group manipulatives because of social distancing. These math games will reinforce fundamental skills of expressions, equations, and integers, while still working together at a distance. The optimal seating choices are for those students who are struggling sitting in their seat. COVID-19 has restricted students even more to their seats, and having different seating choices will help keep the students focused on their learning while their body can still move. The stools will be placed at a large table where there will be one on one teaching. Between both preferential seating and fundamental math games, I hope to see improvements and gains from my students, even in this difficult time.
