Although technology is put to great use in the classroom, it is important for children to have other ways of learning without a screen in front of them. I want the opportunity to let my students learn in a fun, yet stimulating way through folder and board games. These will be a wonderful addition to our learning centers and motivate the students to learn something new with a fun twist!
All children love games, so why not incorporate their love of games and learning? This might motivate our students to complete the work without even noticing they are doing work! Any time I've ever included a game into my lessons or centers this year, my class seems to retain information quicker and the skill they're learning actually sticks with them!
My group of students this year are VERY active learners, and like to move around the classroom with different seating options. I have a few flexible seating options currently, but they are not always the most comfortable for long periods of time. The flexible seating options I included have back rests and I believe they will be more comfortable being a second seating option!
