I am a first year teacher teaching a class of third graders. I knew that being a new teacher would be a bit of a struggle when it came to purchasing supplies. Anytime I went out I would purchase small things from my pocket that I believed would make my classroom feel like home not only to me but to my future classroom.
But, there are many things we still need in our room. Some of those being supplies for them to use. I had students who came into the school with no supplies to use and we are running low on necessary supplies to be able to use. These supplies are items such as glue sticks, paper, pencils, books, markers, etc. While these can be small items they are a lot when it comes to a classroom.
Many of my students are in need of extra support when it comes to reading and math. I play games and try to make reading/writing fun. But there are still many manipulatives that I believe would be beneficial to them. I want to make sure they have that extra support to help them grow to their best capabilities. I know my students work extremely hard and are always excited to show me their little accomplishments.
I also am in search to be able to support them not only in their literacy/math skills but I want to support them in their comfort. I know how difficult it can be for some of them to sit still for more than 5 minutes. Having differential seating would be so helpful for so many of them. Having these necessities met will be able to support them in their
