The hands on kits will help students visualize, build and manipulate geometric figures- deepening their understanding of geometry every step of the way. My students will practice with identifying shapes, solving area and perimeter equations, and finding volume. Students will develop skills in reading comprehension, inferences, compare & contrast, main idea, point of view, author's purpose, characters, text features, key details and finding evidence in text. Effective literacy centers promote student collaboration, facilitate student motivation, and provide targeted practice for students in a small-group setting. Play allows children to integrate skills and knowledge.
