This project will help my students receive small group and one-on-one instruction. Students with learning disabilities will get the attention they require to have success. We as teachers need to think outside the box.
I am requesting a variety of resources for my students. Using a dry erase table with markers and erasers as well as lap boards with fun alternate seating, will give them other ways to learn other than paper and pencil. Manipulatives aide them in this as well. Observing the stages of a butterfly is just another hands on way of learning state skills.
I find when students receive one-on-one instruction or small group instruction, they tend to absorb the skills required to succeed and it builds their self confidence as well. When students believe in themselves, their effort improves. They believe in themselves more. Seeing that light in their eyes when they finally get something, is worth everything.
