Flexible seating is an important component of a special education classroom. It allows them the choice to work in a multitude of ways (up high at a standing desk, down low at a floor table, in a wobble seat or a bumpy cushion), and we all know that giving children a choice empowers them to make sound decisions.
Traditional table and chairs may work for most students, but my students learn best when given options such as low tables paired with comfortable, padded seats. If granted, these items will be used in my cozy area.
