These items would go in a small, unused space between three classrooms and would be used by students for many years! Donating towards these items would allow students to have increased choices of their project creations to show that they have mastered the standards. Think newsroom, teaching videos, podcast hosting, and more, all created by 7th graders! We will set up a newsroom area with a black backdrop and frame. Students will be able to use lighting, tripod stands, and a whiteboard to demonstrate or teach their knowledge on a subject. I also added scissors, Sharpies, and large Post-its so students can use these to create props and examples used for their media projects, step-by-step, and teaching videos. Many times my students want to do certain types of projects to showcase their knowledge but are unable to at the extent that they wish due to lack of these supplies or equipment. A "media room" with these items and supplies would increase student excitement and provide the equipment they need to create the quality work they are able to produce.
