A teacher on her feet is worth two in their seat, and that is why I am excited about this project. In order to bring an engaging and exciting classroom experience to life, I want to provide my students with more of, well, me. Currently, I am stuck at my desk during our notes due to needing to use my computer and smart board. However, an iPad and Apple TV can change that.
The ability to walk around my classroom and help my students will deepen their knowledge in the math basics because we all know that the best educational tool is the teacher in the room.
This project will put me closer to my students as they are learning.
Not only that, but I will be able to hand the iPad and Apple Pencil to them and watch them work examples from their own seats. Our classroom can become a creative and innovative workspace where the sky is the limit.
Our school has struggled with our Oklahoma State test scores, and we are desperately trying to fill the gaps our students have from our years within the pandemic. These items will allow me the freedom to stop and correct mistakes while the students are learning. This will allow them to be better prepared to be proficient in their math skills as they move onto 8th grade, high school, and beyond.
