My amazing 2nd graders have yet to experience a school year not affected by the pandemic. Their desire to learn inspires me and I want to provide them with more resources to tap into their creative and inquiring minds. One resource that is lacking in my classroom is go-to centers for science and social studies. I would like to add some quality centers to my class that are both hands-on and great for small groups. In addition to being used in weekly centers, they will be a go to option for early finishers. The centers I am hoping for through Lakeshore teach many topics in an engaging way: landscapes, US symbols, cultures, bugs, magnets, and weather just to name a few. Through this project my students will engage with content on a deeper level and explore science and social studies in a new and exciting way!
