One lesson I teach is circuits. Before I would just show a video and a drawing of different types of circuits on the board. However, with these materials, I can have the students design and construct the circuits. In turn, they will be able to visually see if they have successfully created the circuit. If not they can use their critical thinking skills to physically fix their errors.
The difference these materials will make in my student's learning is that they will convert their curriculum from pencil and paper to hands-on learning activities. My students will be able to construct and understand the concepts in a real-world way.
Unfortunately, these materials can not go home with the students because the lessons that I teach using the materials will need to be a guided learning experience but the donations to this project will encourage authentic and meaningful learning while the students are in class.
