These books will provide my students the opportunity to explore the world in ways they never dreamed. I strive to make my classroom library a safe and inclusive place for my students. I want to bring in titles that challenge my students to look at the world differently. I have chosen these books with the help of my students. I created a reading inventory survey to show a picture of the book and a brief synopsis. After discussing each book, students voted on which books they would be interested in reading!
We chose titles that focus on Social-Emotional learning, different cultures, and adventures that my students have never experienced before; these titles will allow them to grow emotionally and academically.
With these books, my students will grow as independent readers. They will have many books, genres, and stories to choose from. My students have shown immense interest in the titles they have selected for this project.
