Help my students have a book in their hands when reading during our novel study in English, and observe our world with globes and maps in Geography. I teach two different 6th grade subjects-Language Arts and Geography.
Having these resources will help my students during this pandemic-impacted learning. To make the novel study unit more engaging, my students need the physical book in hand instead of a pdf version. I develop lessons incorporating grammar, vocabulary, and reading strategies with these 3 different novel studies paced throughout the school year. My students would use these books to be in control of their own reading and improve their vocabulary and reading comprehension.
In order to make our study of the western hemisphere and map skills unit more engaging my students need map resources. My geography students would love some globes that they can manipulate to discover our amazing world and maps for the walls. We label printed maps and need colored pencils and rulers.
My students need more visuals for instruction and that is why I鈥檓 asking for some large flip chart paper to create anchor charts that will hang on our classroom walls. These charts can list a range of strategies from grammar rules to landform facts that will satisfy both subjects that I teach.
