I plan on attempting to meet all of my students needs this year. Due to the pandemic and most schools transitioning to distance learning, I have felt a need to support my students a little differently this year.
My students need extra support, both emotionally and educationally. I have requested assistance with several tools to help me make my classroom feel safe and comfortable.
The flexible seating and light covers will assist me in helping those students feel comfortable in their learning environment. This year I have noticed that students are struggling to stay in their seat properly during class. My hope is that the flexible seating will help them feel comfortable while they are working in the classroom.
I have also requested assistance with several trade books that I plan to use to assist me in teaching the state standards. Due to most of my students coming from low socio-economic homes, several of my students are not read to at home. Enthusiastically reading aloud to my students not only helps me teach state standards but also encourages students to have a love of reading.
