Our exceptional students require a variety of resources to help support individual learning goals and objectives. They need a variety of different representations and repetition to make progress towards their targeted skills. These resources will help support our students with hands-on learning for early literacy skill-building as well as number sense.
The resources needed include items such as alphabet lowercase and uppercase matching, phonics, sight words and early building sentences. The math items include counters, number sense and base ten counting.
Not only are we addressing their academic needs but their social/emotional, sensory, physical, communication and adaptive skills within our classroom. By providing these resources, you are helping to bridge the gap for students with severe and profound disabilities.
